Abdul Razak Karim lost his job as coach of Stade Malien after an executive meeting on Tuesday.
The Malian side decided to end the tenure of the 56-year-old after a poor run of results in the domestic league and the CAF Champions League.
The Bamako-based side fell seven points behind rivals and leaders Djoliba in the Malian Premiere Division after a 3-2 home defeat to COB last Sunday.
They were eliminated from this year�s Champions League losing 3-2 on aggregate to Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
�The executive committee of the Stade Malien has decided to put an end to the working contract of coach Abdul Razak Karim,� a club statement said.
�No ultimatum was issued to the Ghanaian coach but the club has realised that its collaboration with Razak has not be moving in the right direction.�
Karim, 1978 Africa Footballer of the Year, left for Mali after he was dismissed by then Ghana Premier League side Real Tamale United two seasons ago.
