The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has signed a book of condolence in memory of the late Ghana President Professor John Evans Atta Mills at the State House in Accra.
The delegation led by GFA�s acting president Fred Crentsil, included members of the Executive Committee of the GFA, Ghalca Executives led by chairman Alhaji Ali Raji and Premier League Board Chairman Welbeck Abra-Appiah.
Chief executives and representatives of various football clubs in the country including giants Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak, Ashantigold, Medeama, Dwarfs, New Edubiase and many others were represented.
The Black Stars technical team was represented by assistant coach Maxwell Konadu.
The acting GFA president paid a glowing tribute to the late leader of the country, describing him as a �sports and a football man� and a great loss to the GFA .
�He was a sportsman and football man. He looked after the national team very well,� Crentsil said.
�Whenever we went there [Castle] to defend the budget for the national teams, he was always there personally to look at it and approve it.�
The late President Mills served his country diligently in football as he was once the chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee and also a board chairman of Accra Hearts of Oak.
