Ghana youth Mubarak Wakaso marked his Spanish La Liga debut for Espanyol by scoring the consolation in their 2-1 reverse at Real Mallorca on Saturday night.
The 22-year-old brought the Barcelona-based side on level pecking just four minutes after Tomer Hemed had put Mallorca ahead.
He controlled a diagonal pass from Cristian Gomez before rifling a powerful effort which came off Mallorca goalkeeper Dudu Aouate on six minutes to pull even for the visitors.
It was his first goal in the Spanish top-flight after featuring for relegated Villarreal the last two seasons.
Wakaso who joined Espanyol from relegated Villarreal was replaced in the 69th minute mark by Alfonso.
