Asante Kotoko has received GH60,000 cash from one of their sponsors, Interplast for their 2012/13 Glo Premier League triumph, footy-ghana.com can reveal.
The amount is an additional bonus in their annual GH100,000 cash sponsorship for the league champions.
It was part of the incentive packages in the plastic companys package for the club which was signed by out-going Executive Chairman Dr. KK Sarpong in October 2010.
According to our sources, it was stipulated in the deal that Interplast will reward the team with GH60,000, GH40,000 or GH20,000 if Asante Kotoko is able to secure first, second or third places respectively at the end of every Premier League season within the contract.
Footy-ghana.com is reliably informed that the amount has been deposited into the clubs account this week.
Asante Kotoko also stands to gain a GH30,000 bonus from the clubs headline sponsors MTN for winning the just ended seasons league.
In related bonus news, Asante Kotoko have lost out on a GH40,000 reward after failing to win the 2013 MTN FA Cup.
