John Boye has been ruled out of Ghana’s international friendly with Turkey next week.
The defender is set to miss the game due to a muscle strain sustained with his French side, Club Rennes at the weekend.
A trusted source told GNA Sports, Boye was set to be out of action for the next two weeks, ruling him out of the meeting fixed for Istanbul, Turkey on Wednesday, August 14.
The center back, with 26 caps for the Black Stars is said to have communicated the development to the technical team of the Black Stars who are sweating over his replacement.
Boye picked the injury in Rennes’ game with Guingamp which ended 1-1 on Saturday, at Stade de la route de lorient. He is expected to miss the Ligue 1 opener against Evian TG on Friday.
The former Hearts of Lions defender has cut an influential place in the Stars set up since making his tournament debut for the side at the 2012 Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
