The former Hearts of Oak hit-man marked his first game for his new club but they failed to end their string of defeats in the Norwegian top flight.
Ghana striker, Mahatma Otoo tasted defeat in his first game for Norwegian side, Sogndal.
The 21-year-old joined the club on Wednesday after a potential move to Club Brugge fell through.
He was introduced into the game in the 56th minute but his side were still not able to prevent Molde from securing their 2-1 victory.
Sogndal now lie 11th on the 16-team log after playing 19 matches out which they have won five, drawn eight and lost six.
Otoo was the top scorer in the Ghana league last season with 20 goals and he will be hoping to start in their next game against Sarpsborg 08 next week Sunday.
