Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has completed his surprise move to Schalke 04 after passing a medical on Friday while revealing he could have joined the German club as far back as last year.
The 26-year-old signed a four-year deal to seal his return to Germany from Italian giants AC Milan.
Boateng was presented to the press as Schalke�s latest signing on Friday afternoon haven passed a medical at Gelsenkirchen earlier in the morning.
The versatile midfielder who has been handed the no.9 jersey says he is happy to make a return to his country of birth.
�I�m happy to be back home in Germany in the best league in the world,� he said after his presentation.

The Ghana international leaves Milan after spending three years in Italy where he played 74 matches in the Serie-A and scored 10 goals.
