There is a desperate attempt by Ghanaian football fans to purchase tickets for the Ghana-Zambia World Cup qualifier slated for the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on Friday.
When the GNA Sports arrived at the Stadium on Thursday morning, there were winding queues at the various sales points with some of the fans having trooped to the venue as early as 5 a. m.
Majority of them poured out their frustrations, lambasting the National Sports Authority (NSA) for not making adequate preparations for the sale of the tickets.
The GNA gathered that tickets for the VIP stand which sells at 20 Ghana Cedis were already sold out. It came to light that some unscrupulous personalities had taken advantage of the situation to cash in by selling tickets as exorbitant prices on the black market.
Ghana will be needing a point to advance to the final round of the qualifiers.
