Zambia FA president Kalusha Bwalya has regretted Zambia’s failure to advance further in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign after being booted out by Ghana.
Zambia’s 2014 World Cup dreams came to a conclusive end on Friday with a 2-1 away loss to Ghana in Kumasi.
Kalusha described Zambia’s failure as painful.
“I think it is painful and a difficulty pill to swallow,” he said.
“We played against the best team but as a team Zambia we were in control,” Kalusha stated.
He however stated that Chipolopolo’s failure to beat Sudan at home and Lesotho in Maseru this year was a blow to Zambia’s World Cup campaign.
“We have not lost the game today because I think we stumbled along the way. Twice we stumbled in Lesotho and at home against Sudan,” Kalusha noted.
He said:” We have to pick ourselves up and continue in what we are doing because the future is bright.
