Hearts of Oak have approached Kurt Okraku to succeed Neil Armstrong Mortagbe as managing director of the club, Metro FM have reported.
The young football administrator has emerged as one of the candidates to take up the top job once Mortagbe is finally given the expected sack.
Mortagbe is under investigation on charges of misconduct and for using his office for his personal gain.
The three-member investigative committee are set to present their findings to the club’s board which according to sources will implicate the FIFA Marketing expert.
Board members have already started looking at prospective candidates to replace Mortagbe once he is relieved of his duties.
Frank Nelson, a board member is said to be the overwhelming favourite but he can turn down the due to his commitment to his personal businesses.
Kurt Okraku’s name has also come up but the Ghana FA Cup Committee member refuses to speak on the issue.
He said ‘no comment’ when he was contacted to confirm the information.
Okraku according to sources will have minimal challenges in leaving his bankrolled lower tier club Dreams FC to return to manage Hearts.
He was once a Public Relations Officer of the Phobians but left the job to pursue other career aspirations.
