Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed has hailed the massive impact of Asamoah Gyan since he rose to become captain of the Black Stars.
The Al Ain ace has hit a rich vein of form since he assumed leadership of the team in 2012.
Gyans goalscoring record as accelerated in the past few years seeing him become the all-time leading scorer of the Black Stars with 45 goals in 86 international appearances.
He is also amongst the leading scorers in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers with three goals in four games
And Rabiu who has been marveled by Gyans leadership so far hopes the 28-year-old gets an extended clean bill of health to continue with his heroics.
He plays very well and he is a good captain too, he told Radio Gold.
We pray God gives him strength to always come and play for us.
Gyan was installed as captain of the Black Stars in late 2011 and led the team out for the first time in a competitive fixture at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
