Chelsea winger Christian Atsu has completed a season-long loan move to Newcastle United with the option of a permanent transfer.
Atsu moved to Stamford Bridge from Porto in 2013 but was unable to make it into the Chelsea squad. He was loaned out to Vitesse Arnheim, Everton, Bournemouth, and Malaga.
British High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin, in a tweet, congratulated the Ghanaian international on his move.
Atsu has been called up for Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at home to Rwanda on Saturday and a friendly against Russia in Moscow three days later.
