A board member of Real Tamale United and a former executive of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Jones Abu Alhassan, has tipped Osei Bonsu Amoah for the position of Youth and Sports Minister in the Akufo-Addo administration.
Mr Amoah served as Deputy Sports Minister in the erstwhile Kufuor administration, and Mr Alhassan, in an interview with Class Sports, noted that the Akuapim South legislator stood tall amongst his peers for the appointment.
“If I had my own way I will propose O.B. Amoah as Youth and Sports Minister because he comes in with a great deal of experience. During the Kufuor administration, he was virtually the Minister of Sports, even though he was the Deputy Minister. He is also a good football administrator and a lawyer … but as I say [appointment] it’s the prerogative of the elected president, Nana Akufo-Addo,” he stated.
