Former Ghana captain cum boxing promoter, Asamoah Gyan, has visited boxer John Laryea at the Bronx Boxing Gym at James Town in Accra.
The Baby Jet Promotions boss was at the gym on Wednesday to motivate Laryea aka Expensive Boxer, to go for the kill ahead of his clash with Solomon Martey for the WBO Featherweight title on April 30 at De Zone Beach Resort, Korle Gonno.
Laryea was joined by Daniel Gosh, Alvaro Ajom and Sherrif Quaye, who demonstrated their punching power, stamina in shadow boxing.
The Expensive Boxer promised a good fight on the night saying, “This title is mine and I will take it back, I thank Asamoah Gyan for coming here to motivate me, my colleagues, friends and fans at Jamestown and Bukom, victory is ours.”
CEO of Asamoah Gyan Foundation, Samuel Anim Addo, who was present, stated that Laryea is capable of reclaiming the title which will set him up for a world title shot.
Head coach at the gym, Carl Lokko, said the Bronx Boxing Gym boxer will excel again.
He described the forthcoming bout as another opportunity to become a champion.
