I took responsibility for my decision and even as I respected my mother’s reservations, I determined that they were not going to discourage me from pursuing my dream. I was going to be the best mining engineer that I could be and prove to her that I could do it. Ladies and gentlemen, today I am pleased I stuck with my decision.
