Egypt-Based Striker Eric Bekoe Wants To Return To Kotoko

FORMER GHANA goal king Eric Bekoe is yearning to make a sharp u-turn to Kumasi Asante Kotoko. The former Kotoko striker is currently in the country after plying his trade in Egypt for sometime now. Speaking on Angel FM, the potent attacker said he would love to re-launch his career in the country. He however made it clear that Kotoko was the only local club that he wanted to play for, noting that his passion for the Kumasi-based club was so great that no local club could use any other thing to persuade him to turn his back on the Porcupine Warriors. According to him, though some clubs were willing to pay huge sums to bring him into their fold, his eyes and mind were fixed on Kotoko. Bekoe said money is a vapour which could fade within a twinkle of an eye; therefore he would not let money be the decider with regard to the club he wanted to play for. The former Ghana goal king whose ability to score goals was unquestionable, said he would bang in the goals if he returned to Kotoko. He however failed to disclose if Kotoko officials had approached him for a contract. Bekoe, it would be recalled, became a household name in Ghana soccer about four seasons ago when he featured for Kotoko. The striker banged in goals at will for Kotoko, emerging the goal king for the country in the process. Bekoe, after winning the goal king, attracted several interests both locally and abroad. He later joined Petrojets of Egypt where he had since plied his trade.
