NDC Youth Front Crumbling

The leadership of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) appears to have accepted electoral defeat even before the political parties go to the polls on December 7, 2012. This is against the backdrop that the national leaders of the NDC, according to a monitoring conducted by the Crystal Clear Lens, have left the party to its fate and nothing is happening at the grassroots to energize the support base of the party, which is virtually crumbling like a pack of cards. By our findings and estimation, if the NDC Youth Organizer, Ludwig Akpene Hlordze, fails to amend his ways to rally around the scattered youth of the party to form a vigorous youth for victory in 2012, he might become the first youth leader of the party to be described as a disaster the party would ever have in this dispensation. What is more worrying, according to our report from the Regions is that, the NDC National Youth Organizer, Ludwig Hlordze, has become an invisible and unreachable person, making it difficult for Regional Executives to operate to the best of their ability. Clearly, Ludwig is failing to set a standard for his subordinates to fellow and has abandoned partys activities to the Regional Executives, who appear to lack the party direction in this years campaign. The national youth organizer has turned himself into a presidential special aide travelling with the President everywhere at the time the party needs his presence most. The Crystal Clear Lens can authoritatively say that while his counterpart, Anthony Karbo, the National Youth Organizer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), is assiduously marshalling forces, touching base of the youth of the NPP, psyching them for the arduous task ahead, the NDC National Youth Organizer is busying traveling out of the country to and fro for his comfort. Our monitoring lens has gathered a very disturbing report from across the country, particularly in the northern regions. The report has it that the NPP Youth Organizer is making serious inroads in the three Northern regions, especially in the NDC strongholds and the regional capitals and has been in constant touch with the grassroots. Karbo, our report said has become a political inspirer for many youth in the country, most especially the three northern regions. This is owing to the fact that within a short period, he has been able to identify opinion leaders among the youth, established various youth committees which is boiling to work for him and the party to capture power in December. But that cannot be said of the NDC Youth Organizer. How many committees has he set up since he was elected the youth leader of the party? We can say with authority that although this is a crucial election year, Ludwig has not been to the Northern to assess personally the strength of the party activities on the ground. In fact, we can write without any contradiction that the last time Ludwig visited the Northern region was in July last year. This performance, some youth in the regions, have described as abysmally disappointing and they have regretted voting him as their leader. To them, when they weigh the performances of the likes of Fiffi Kwetey, former National Propaganda Secretary, Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah and Baba Jamal, National deputy secretaries of the party, particularly Haruna Iddrisu, former National Youth Organizer, then in opposition, a difficult time to say the least, Ludwig Hlordzes performance is nothing near theirs and is extremely disappointing and annoying that the youth have sent him warning that he should better wake up before he incurs the wrath of the NDC youth in the country.
