Zambia Coach Herve Renard Rubbishes Ghana Job Reports

African Nations Cup-winning coach Herve Renard has rubbished a report that he has contacted the Ghana FA (GFA) seeking to coach the Black Stars. The Frenchman has reiterated his desire to stay with the Zambian national team after leading them to their first continental title. He was reported by a Ghanaian media outfit to have contacted the GFA seeking to take over the Black Stars if Goran Stevanovic is sacked. The Frenchman was linked with the Ghana post even though he was recently offered a new lucrative three-year deal by Zambia. The former physical trainer of the Black Stars says he will not be the one stepping into the hotseat. I told you, when I say something I dont change my mind, you know me, he told Zambian daily newspaper The Post when asked by Zambian reporters about reports linking him to other jobs. I dont do interviews by phone. But dont worry [I] am in your country. I am [in] your country for a long time. I think you have your answer now. He also turned down reported interest to take over as Nigeria national team coach.
