Employ A Mediator To Solve Rawlings-NDC Rift Adenta MP

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Adenta in the Greater Accra Region, Hon. Kojo Adu Asare, is proposing the party employs a professional mediator to solve its growing rift. According to him, the professional mediator, independent of the factions and paid for by the party will solve the widening rift in less than two hours. The founder of the NDC, Jerry John Rawlings and his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, gave a new twist to the tension between the two when the former first couple failed to turn up at the partys maiden regional rally held at Mantse Agbona in Accra last weekend. The complicated issue aggravated following the suspension of Mr. Kofi Adams, aide to the former first family. The move has been seen by many Rawlings loyalists as another hindrance to the party unity, which has for long eluded the John Evans Atta Mills-led party. The Adenta MP, who was speaking on Citi Fms news and current affairs program, The Big Issue stated that, if you dont attempt to solve a conflict, it becomes protracted and all of us dont have what it takes to go and sit in and try to mediate so lets employ the services of a professional mediator. Once you get the two parties willing to solve the problem, in 90 minutes maximum, case closed. So lets employ a professional mediator who will sit at the table and engage the two parties in talking until a solution is found, the legislator added.
