Information reaching DAILY GUIDE on Wednesday indicated that the Winneba District Police Command have arrested a 30-year-old woman, Esi Adadzewa, for stabbing her husband, Kwame Kuofie, to death. The suspect, who is in police custody, will soon be put before a magistrate court in Winneba while the body of Kuofie has been deposited at the Winneba Government Hospital for autopsy. Briefing DAILY GUIDE, an eyewitness said the incident happened at Metsewote, a suburb of Winneba, around 12pm. According to the source, Adadzewa got sick some months ago and was taken to a fetish priest in the area for healing since they claimed the sickness was spiritual. The source added that Kuofie sent all the items needed to be used by the fetish priest to perform the rituals, disclosing that all the necessary rituals had since been performed. The source stated that Adadzewa, who was in a room at the fetish priest�s place, got out and went straight to the kitchen, took a knife and slashed a woman who was also sick and receiving healing at the place. The source added that the woman shouted for help. Information further revealed that Kuofie, who heard the woman screaming, rushed to the scene to rescue the woman but Adadzewa stabbed him twice on the chest. He was then rushed to the Winneba Government Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The woman was also taken to Winneba Government Hospital where she was treated and discharged.
