Tricks Of Teshie Priestesses - Coy Remains Unshaken...

The subtle moves by certain people from Teshie in Accra, led by some priestesses, to destabilize the otherwise steady development of the plush Airport Hills residential area by Finali Limited have backfired as the company says it remains unshaken. The priestesses are leading the onslaught to battle Finali Limited over the land the company acquired and has since 1995 remained occupants of the land. As part of the game, the priestesses engaged some goons and entered some portions of the land to perform certain rituals amidst incantations, while the directors of Finali Limited had travelled to the United States of America. Although, Finali Limited has over the years related with relevant regulatory authorities and obtained all necessary licenses, permits and approvals for the development of the said land, some people from Teshie are harassing the company. According to the company, which is operating a first class gated community, well organized and occupied by prominent citizens in the country, it hold the title certificates covering the land in its occupation and has remained in lawful and undisturbed possession for the past 17 years. To date, no member of the Numo Nmashie family of Teshie has instituted any action against Finali Limited in any court in Ghana or elsewhere. According to Finali Limited it was alarmed at the actions of the priestesses and their goons from Teshie who now make it their habit to make forcible entry of the vacant portions of the land of the company. Finali limited said that no person connected with the company has ever boasted of big names in support of the claims of the land, adding that the company does not have to boast of big names in Ghana in order to continue to remain in possession of its lawfully acquired land. The company said that as bonafide owner of all its lands it would not be intimidated by the dubious claimants whose stock in trade is to dispersed violence and lawlessness and would lawfully defend and continue to develop its legally acquired lands. Finali Limited said that the claimants from the Numo Nmashie family should go to court to determine the claim to the land, as law abiding citizens do not engage in criminal acts of forcible entry, use of firearms, land guards and self-help.
