Deepen Africas Unity Prez. Mills

President John Evans Atta Mills has reminded his colleagues in Africa of their collective responsibility to control the recent political upheavals that have emerged from some parts of the continent. He said African leaders must do everything possible to zealously safeguard the niche the continent has carved for itself on the world map. He maintained that Africa was capable of managing her own affairs provided there will be unity among member states. President Mills said I believe that the most important thing really is that the developments on the continent of Africa require our special attention so that we will be able to control the situation and our respective citizens can live in peace. He was addressing a high powered government delegation from Equatorial Guinea led by President Theodora Nguema Mbassogo who paid a courtesy call on him at the Osu castle. One should not forget that His Excellency President Nguema is the immediate past Chairman of the AU therefore he is very much abreast with the developments on the continent; he knows quite a lot and therefore one should not be surprised that he has taken time off to be here so that together we can see the way forward.
