Youngster Kingsley Schlindler has pledged his international future to Ghana even if it means playing for the junior teams.
The 19-year-old currently plays for the junior team of German club Hannover 96 after stints with Concordia Hamburg.
And though with a chance to play for Germany, Schlindler insists he prefers to play for Ghana.
I will play for Ghana. It is my motherland and I love to play more for Ghana than for Germany, he told Accra-based Radio XYZ.
If I get the chance I would like to play for Ghana U-20 not for Germany.
The German-born to Ghanaian parents however admits he will need a couple of years before breaking into Hannovers first team.
I think my chances to play in Bundeliga now will be better elsewhere but at Hannover maybe in one or two years.
Schlindler hopes to to join Quicny Owusu-Abeyie and Kevin-Prince Boateng as players with dual nationalities to have played for Ghana.
