Military Armored Vehicle Kills Man In Bawku

The Bawku Divisional Police Command has confirmed the death of a young man who was killed by a military armored vehicle in Bawku Township over the weekend. The deceased identified as Mahamudu Bundu, 41, met his untimely death around the Animal market. The Bawku Divisional Police Commander, ACP Boadu Peprah, told Citi News: �It happened between 1.30 to 2 pm yesterday in the afternoon, it was a market day and my information was that the military armored was heading towards the animal market and when it got to the Goil filling station it knocked down a pedestrian and he died.� He added: �We rushed to the scene and picked the body to the hospital and a doctor came and examined the body and we released the body to the family for burial.� According to ASP Peprah, the deceased has since been laid to rest in line with the Islamic tradition. �As I speak now they buried the body yesterday because the deceased was a Muslim.�
