Woman Stabs Ex-Boyfriend And Sister

The Adenta Police have arrested a 21-year-old waitress who allegedly stabbed her former boyfriend and his sister, sending them into a critical condition. The suspect, Faustina Adjoa Afful, stabbed the woman several times on the thigh, and her ex-boyfriend on the arms. Faustina, had gone to her ex-boyfriends house to inform him she was two months pregnant. But the ex-boyfriend denied being responsible for the pregnancy since the relationship had gone sour several months earlier. Her action, left the victims especially the woman, in a very critical condition. The two victims are currently receiving medical care at the Madina Polyclinic. Briefing the 'Ghanaian Times', Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Stephen Kofi Ahiatafu, Adenta District Commander, said Faustina was arrested at about 4:am on Friday. He said Faustina, armed with a kitchen knife, went to her former boyfriends house at Adenta Old Barrier at about 4:am claiming to be pregnant by him. However, he did not accept her claims since, according to him, they stopped being friends some months earlier and could therefore not be responsible for the pregnancy. This sparked off a heated argument, which drew the boys sister, (second victim into the room). Faustina became infuriated upon seeing the second victim, brought out the knife and stabbed her several times on the arm and thighs, after which she stabbed her former boyfriend. She was, however, overpowered by some residents of the house and a report was made to the police. She is being processed for court.
