The Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akomea, says now that the NPP has been absolved of all blame in President Mills' death rumours, the Mills-Mahama NDC administration should, as a matter of urgency, fix Ghana's economy and stop the blame game. Nana Akomea explained that ever since rumours about President Mills' alleged ill-health surfaced," all kinds of NDC propagandists and apologists led by the NDC General Secretary have shouted themselves hoarse blaming the NPP, as usual, for fomenting the rumours about the death of President Mills�. However, Dr Kwabena Adjei's confirmation that the origin of President Mills health emanated from within the NDC itself, according to Nana Akomea, should bring that chapter to an end. He stated that it was rather unfortunate that Nana Akufo-Addo, the presidential candidate of the NPP had needlessly attacked just for wishing the President well in his checkup. Nana Akomea bemoaned the level to which governance had been reduced to under the President Mills to an extent that the NDC will want to blame the opposition NPP for any mishaps in their party. �The NPP has been variously blamed for earthquake rumours/hoax, shortage of fuel, power cuts, kerosene shortages, the Cedi�s fall, the Woyome payout, the Nana Konadu challenge, the June 4 celebration at Aflao, woes at the NDC primaries, lecturers strike, doctors strike, Volta Youth Network, TobgegaGabusu and even the internal rivalries in the NDC communication team,� Nana Akomea added. Notwithstanding, Nana Akomea urged the President to vigorously tackle the problems confronting the country,�especially the rapid fall in the value of the Cedi, the ever rising cost of living, the falling standards of basic education, the suspension of the free maternal care programme, the chronic youth unemployment, the poor state of public services and the general hopelessness and despondency afflicting Ghanaians� since the President claimed on his arrival that he was very fit and back to continue where he left off. The Communications Director, however, assured the NDC that the good people of Ghana were discerning and deserved better than the blame game they have been up to since taking over the affairs of the country. �It is a salutary lesson to all of us that even in the NDC, there is so much disappointment in the government of President Mills that they wish him dead," he concluded.
