Okudzeto And Barton-Odro Should Be Picked Up For Questioning - PNF

The attempt by Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa to square a circle by his press conference after two former Ministers implicated him in the Isofoton judgment saga is but disgraceful. We the Progressive Nationalist Forum(PNF) are most appalled however, by the fact that a whole state machinery was used to try to exonerate an individual Minister who is complacent in a case where the state is fighting a foreign company over a botched contract. It is our believe that as a state representative who is supposed to be pursuing the interest of Ghana, the fact that Mr. Ablakwa is actively representing Isofoton and in the process using the resources of the state of Ghana to achieve that, is in the least a conflict of interest situation. The press conference addressed by Mr. Ablakwa was just an attempt to wriggle him off the fact that Mr. Martin Amidu and Mr. John Tia, both former Ministers have implicated him and accused him of possibly benefiting from the Isofoton deal. It is a shame and wanton dissipation of state resources for Ministers and Deputy Ministers to line up wasting precious state time to assist a colleague to free himself of wrongdoing. Mr. Barton Odoru, short of not issuing a rejoinder to Mr. Martin Amidus ACCUSATIONS, PNF believes and holds same to be true that Mr. Oduro is exercising his powers as Deputy Attorney General capriciously and to the detriment of the state of Ghana and to his own benefit. PNF wish to by this press conference notify the IGP to invite Mr. Ablakwa and Barton Oduro for questions with regards their various roles in the ALL, ISOFOTON and other ongoing judgment debts they are settling in the name of the state. The IGP recently indicated his outfit will act swiftly without bias towards any political party. The opportunity has been presented to him by these two state officials. We hope he can stand up and be counted. SIGNED: Richard Nyamah Fred Amankwah Sarfo Patience Dordornu
