ZOOMLION Presents Waste Management Trucks

In a bid to thoroughly pursue its �Keep Ghana Clean� agenda, Zoomlion Ghana Limited has presented waste management trucks to the newly inaugurated District Assemblies to help them carry out their waste management duties effectively. Zoomlion presented the trucks under its specially designed Sanitation Improvement Package (SIP) for local government authorities� nationwide. The trucks are to help the assemblies deal with solid waste management effectively. At the short presentation ceremonies which were held separately in the respective districts, the various Ag. DCEs didn�t mince words as they commended Zoomlion for taking up the arduous and capital-intensive task of managing waste in the country and providing immense support to MMDAs in that regard. They pledged their total cooperation with Zoomlion to ensure that they are able to deliver top quality waste management service to the people and communities under their care. At all the ceremonies, the officials of the new Assemblies were charged to institute effective mechanisms to ensure that the trucks and other equipment entrusted to them for the effective execution of their duties are properly and regularly maintained to enable them last longer and serve the people better. Handing over the trucks to the Ningo Prampram District Assembly, the District Operations Supervisor of Zoomlion, Mr. Solomon Aryeetey touched on the need for concerted efforts in finding sustainable solutions to the nation�s waste management problems. He added that Zoomlion Ghana Limited shall not relent in its effort in ensuring a clean, green, and healthy nation. He further entreated all stakeholders and partners to offer their support to complement Zoomlion�s efforts. The Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Honourable E.T. Mensah receiving the trucks expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Zoomlion for the trucks which will help rid the District of filth. He charged the people gathered citizens to refrain from their age-old insanitary habits and imbibe good ones which will rather bring them immense benefits and attract tourists to the town.
