Naming Facilities After Mills Is Illegal - AMA Told

A former president of the National Association of Local Government Authority (NALAG), George Kyei Baffour has described as illegal the manner in which certain facilities are being named after the late President John Evans Atta Mills by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA). According to him, the AMA should have held proper consultations before embarking on the naming of the facilities. The Accra High Street and the Millennium City School have been named after late President Mills. He said: I overheard the AMA boss say that he did some consultations, but I dont think that is the process. We should not allow Chief Executives to indulge in such unlawful activities on their own. Mr. Kyei Baffour told Citi News, the naming should have been done through legitimate means. It is not right and so the right thing ought to be done, he added.
