Make Andre Ayew Next Black Stars Captain And He Will Bring Trophies - Rahim Ayew

Ghana international Abdul Rahim Ayew is backing his younger brother Andre Dede Ayew to be Black Stars captain John Mensahs heir apparent. The Olympic Marseille midfielder was lauded for his leadership qualities after leading the Black Satellites to win the Africa Youth Championship and the Under-20 World Cup in 2009. The 22-year-old started playing for the Black Stars when Ghana hosted the Africa Rahim said his junior brother has what it takes to lead the Black Stars if he is handed the armband in future. Among the three of us, he [Andre] has the character of our dad a lot in the sense of being a leader, he told the Finder Sports newspaper. You can see clearly from the mens Under-20 tournament in 2009 that he is a real leader. Andre got the chance to wear the armband briefly during the 2012 Afcon in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. He currently wears the No. 10 shirt, the same number his father, Abedi Pele wore while captaining the Black Stars. Rahim said: Give him the armband and maybe he will win you trophies because this boy loves trophies. I was in Egypt and watched him lead the Black Satellites to win the Under 20 World Cup. Even if it is the World Cup which has not been won by an African side, I know my brother can lead Ghana to win it, the Lierse midfielder added.
