Juventus striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom cannot hide his joy after scoring on his debut friendly game for the Black Stars that ended 1-1 with China. The 18-year-old came on as a substitute to equalise for Ghana in Xian on Wednesday. He believes his team-mates deserve the plaudit. Scoring was something very exciting for me, Boakye-Yiadom said in a post-match interview. It was the whole team that brought about the goal. We worked as a team and at the end the result came very well. I thank the whole team for helping for this goal to come. He said in order to continue to catch the eyes of coach Kwesi Appiah, he will have to put in a great deal of effort in training at club level. Its too early to judge. There are so many players around. The only thing is you need to train hard and focus on whatever you want to do in life. The rest of them, I would just leave to the Almighty God to decide my fate, he said. He added: Mine is to train and work hard and if I am being invited, the best I can do is to help my nation. I will come and do my best. The rest of them, I leave to the coaches and the committee members to decide.
