Government Refutes NPP's Accusation Of Failed Promises

Government has described NPP's accusations in its 2012 Manifesto as a litany of dubious claims. A statement signed by the Deputy Minister of Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, said the accusations of failed policies, hardships and corruption against the government cannot be substantiated. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr. Ablakwa said Ghanaians should never give New Patriotic Party (NPP), the chance to return to power, adding that Nana Akufo-Addo has not been truthful with his free SHS policy and therefore asked Ghanaians to take a critical look at the whole policy. Meanwhile, a Deputy Communications Director of the NPP, John Boadu, says the fact that the NPP was not able to fulfill all of its manifesto promises in its eight years in office, does not mean it cannot implement its free SHS policy. Reacting to comments made by Mr. Okudzeto-Ablakwa, Mr. Boadu also enumerated a number of unfulfilled promises made by the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
