Boateng Gyans "Secret Tape" Comments Threaten Ghanas Peace - WANEP

The Executive Director of the West Africa Network for Peace Building (WANEP), Dr. Emmanuel Bombande, has admonished that comments made by the National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Yaw Boateng Gyan, on a secret tape does not resonate with the spirit of tolerance and peace. According to Dr. Bombande, leaders who find themselves in such discourse should regret their actions, apologise and assure the people that nobody is planning and organising anything that will lead to violence and anxiety during the general elections. He noted that the aspect of the tape that insinuates the fact that the nations security can be compromised into having people who do not qualify to work with them, certainly compromises the security of the nation. Dr. Bombande also said the introduction of any form of activity involving the use of tugs or machomen to pursue political objective is wrong. He called on all Ghanaians to work together to ensure that the elections are held peacefully. He recommended that Mr. Boateng Gyan comes out and express regret and remorse for the anxiety caused.
