GRA Earmarks $2.2m For Retired Customs Officers Recreational Centre

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has earmarked two point two million dollars for the construction of a recreational project for retired Customs Officers. The 500 capacity conference hall, three storey guest house and other facilities will be sited at Kasoa - Nyanyanor in the Central region. The Commissioner General of Ghana Revenue Authority, George Blankson, made this known to the media when he cut the sod for the project. The project, he said, is expected to be completed by March 2014. A Chief Controller and National Chairman of the Senior Staff Association of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Alhaji Seidu Iddrisu, said the over two million dollars project was delayed due to funding but all is now set for takeoff since the contractors are on site now. He added that about 70 plots of land have been reserved for construction of affordable houses for staff of the Authority.
