The Minister of Transport, Alhaji Collins Dauda has called on African governments to invest greatly in air transportation especially Runway Safety Operations. This according to him, will help create the enabling environment to ensure that air transportation plays its role in regional integration. In a message read on his behalf at the opening of Runway safety Workshop organised by the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority in Accra, Alhaji Dauda said Africa has been bedeviled by aircraft accidents, hence measures must be taken to remove the operational obstacles which stain the aviation industry.
