The NDC Parliamentary candidate for the Odododiodio constituency, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye has promised to bring targeted development to his constituency if voted for as MP.
Addressing the residents and party supporters at a mini rally in the constituency, Mr. Vanderpuye explained that �we want to involve our people more in corporative jobs. We will bring the women together for them to go into catering then we can create the market for them. We are also looking at securing jobs for them through sports into the security services; apprenticeship training in hair dressing, shoe making.�
According to him, contacts have been made with some organizations and companies to ensure the successful implementation of these job creation opportunities.
�We�ve got the groups and we are sponsoring and training them. We are also taking care of the fees and when they finish, we will give them the equipments and tools to start something for themselves,� he added.
Nii Lantey Vanderpuye also mentioned that government is planning to build a new slaughter house in the area in a bid to create employment opportunities for the youth saying, �we used to have a slaughter house here but it was demolished around 1998 and government is saying that it is better for us to have another slaughter house and so it will be built again to create jobs for our people here.�
