Nana Konadu Quits NDC...Goes For NDP Flagbearer

Peacefmonline.com is reliably informed that barring any unforeseen circumstances, former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings will announce her resignation from the ruling party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest the flagbearership position of the National Democratic Party (NDP). Mrs Rawlings is expected to make the landmark decision on Tuesday, October 9th. The NDP is expected to go to congress on Saturday, October 13, where Mrs. Rawlings will likely be elected as flagbearer of the party ahead of the December polls, eventhough sources say two other persons have so far picked forms to contest that position. The NDP, according to sources, will use Saturday's congress to elect its functional executives in readiness for the 2012 electoral battle. Ten delegates from all the 230 constituencies will congregate at the Kumasi Sports Stadium to partake in the upcoming event. More soon...
