Randy Abbey In Line For Hearts Top Job

Randy Abbey could be named as the new Chief Executive of Hearts of Oak, GHANAsoccernet.com understands. The Ghana FA Executive Committee member is the latest to have been strongly linked with the vacant position. The Board of Directors failed to name Fred Crentsil successor after they held a crunch meeting on Tuesday. But GHANAsoccernet.com sources say Board chairman Togbe Afede XIV is a huge admirer of Abbey and has mooted for the media guru to be handed the top job. The ever-smiling and affable Accra Academy alumni is a through and through Hearts man having served in different capacities including holding the position of the Public Relations Officer officer. The ex-Ghana FA communication director is seen as charismatic, result driven and dynamic attributes that can endear him to the clubs teeming followers. But he will face stiff competition from Frank Nelson Nwonkolo as well as Ashantigold chief Kudjoe Fianoo who are also in the frame to occupy the vacant position. Ex-King Faial boss Vincent Sowah Odotei has also not been ruled out for the job despite attempts by some persons to kick against his potential appointment.
