200 police recruits in the Koforidua Regional Police Training School have sustained various degrees of injuries due to fire outbreak which occurred on Tuesday.
According to an eye witness, the fire was caused by the ongoing load shedding; after a generator was connected to the electrical units to power the dormitories.
Speaking in an interview on Peace FM�s morning show �Kokrokoo� with Kwami Sefa-Kayi, ASP Nketiah-Yeboah, Eastern Regional Police PRO said the number of people who were injured were not up to 200 as some were saying.
According to him, the number of people who were injured numbwews 56 and were taken to the hospital immediately, adding some of them have been treated and discharged.
