Gbagbos Lawyer Question Authenticity Of UN Ivory Coast Report

The Lawyer for former Ivorian President, Laurent Gbagbo has dismissed the UN report indicting supporters of Gbabo exiled in Ghana for allegedly setting up training camps to destabilize the current Ivorian government. Madam Buktumiere has challenged the authenticity of the report, claiming the UN should present concrete proof. In an exclusive interview with Citi News, Madam Buktumiere insisted supporters of Gbagbo in Ghana would challenge current President Alhassan Ouattara democratically and not with force. She said: We are waiting for evidence. You know we are in an open world and if they just have the proof, let them bring the evidence then we can talk. But what we are doing now is we are threading very carefully to sue those persons for deformation. These are allegations without any evidence. We are looking at how judicially; we can sue those persons in Cote DIvoire. The Police situation in Cote DIvoire today is not a way of reconciliation. This is our response. We are very upset that those kinds of report are bringing destabilization in the United Nations in which all of us are very attached, she explained. Madam Buktumiere added that the UN report is merely aimed at tarnishing the image of Laurent Gbagbo. She alleged that there is a direct link between the failure of Alhassan Ouattara and the fact that the supporters of Ouattara are now well informed of recent past happenings in Cote DIvoire. They now know that Gbagbo is not the demon that the French media presented to us during these crises. Ouattara is very afraid of that, she stated.
