A truck conveying can drinks believed to be imported from the Republic of Togo has crashed into eight vehicles in the Volta Regional Capital, Ho. The incident occurred last Friday between 10 minutes to midday and 15 minutes after. Fortunately, no deaths have so far been recorded and three out of the six persons admitted at the Regional and Municipal Hospitals have been treated and discharged. The other three, including a motor rider who sustained some injuries, were still on admission. The accident which happened on a market day attracted a large crowd and made vehicular traffic in the business district difficult, since it happened on a major intersection that linked the central market and lorry station to most parts of the municipality and beyond. The Regional MTTU Commander, DSP Ohene-Djan who was at the scene to ensure swift evacuation of affected vehicles, victims and crowd to ease traffic, noted investigation was still ongoing to ascertain the true cause of the accident.
