An Eyewitness who gave his name as Jerry told citifmonline.com that it is feared that several passengers in the blue coloured bus have lost their lives. The bus is reported to have been travelling from Kasoa to Accra Central. "The car is actually mangled, the glass has broken, the roof around the driver is almost going in", a shaken Jerry reported. The BRT construction, under the Urban Transport Project, is divided into two lots, with the first lot consisting of the construction of a bridge over the railway line, and the expansion of the bridge on the Odaw River. The second lot would involve the construction of the BRT route from the Central Business District to Kaneshie first light. Other components of the project include the construction of a flyover bridge across the railway line, the development of bus terminal and a bus depot at Kasoa, and other minor stations along the entire route.
