No Power Outage On December 7 - Minister

The Deputy Minister for Energy, Inusah Fuseini, has promised no part of the country will experience power outages during the December 7 elections. According to the Minister, From the Ministry of Energys point of view we are working assiduously to ensure that by November ending we have the power system stabilized, so that by 7th December when we are using the biometric, no person or political party will have reason to complain that because we didnt have enough power or because we have power outages by reason of load shedding they could not cast their votes or use biometric register. So we know that there is responsibility placed on the Minister of Energy and the utility company to assure the people of Ghana of reliable and adequate power getting into the elections on 7th of December, he added. Speaking to Citi News on the state of the energy sector for the rest of the year, Mr. Fuseini said the Ministry will find innovative ways of sustaining the current energy plan. He also promised that from the period of voting to the declaration of results, power will be sustained throughout Ghana.
