Mahama Promises Improved Road Networks In Western Region

President John Dramani Mahama has promised to construct the road network at Sefwi Asawinso in the Western Region to improve the transportation and growth of businesses in the area. According to him, the contract has been already awarded to a construction company called Midwest for work to begin immediately. Addressing the people of Sefwi Asawinso on his campaign tour of the region, the National Democratic Congress� presidential candidate mentioned that �because of what happened in July, our campaign did not start early and I am very pleased of how you have welcomed me. I know your greatest challenge is the road network and I will assure you that the road will be constructed.� �When we were coming here, the people were crying out for good roads. We have awarded the contract to Midwest; they have arrived and they are ready to start work,� he explained. The President is expected in the Bia constituency also in the region for a rally. Meanwhile, the Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo is also in the Western Region. He is currently in Tarkwa re-emphasizing the party�s policies on illegal mining.
