The United States Embassy in Ghana and the people of the United States, on Sunday expressed deepest sympathies to the people of Ghana on the death of former Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama.
A statement signed by Gene Cretz, U.S Ambassador to Ghana said as vice president to former President Kufuor from January 2001 � January 2009, Alhaji Mahama served Ghana with distinction to support democracy and development.
"My thoughts and prayers are with all the people of Ghana during this difficult time," he added.
