Johnson Asiedu Nketia, also known as General Mosquito, General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), has advised supporters of the party not to vote "Skirt and Blouse".
He said the NDC does not have or recognize an independent candidate; hence supporters should not be tempted to vote for President Dramani Mahama, leaving the NDC Parliamentary aspirant.
Speaking to NDC supporters in the Lower Manya Krobo constituency at a rally on Thursday, he advised them to vote for President Mahama as well as the NDC Parliamentary aspirant for the constituency, Mr. Okletey Terlarbi.
Mr. Okletey Terlarbi is contesting with Mr. Michael Teye Nyaunu, who is competing as an Independent candidate.
"They all know that they cannot compete with us and so they are advising people to vote skirt and blouse but don�t listen to them...vote for President Mahama and the NDC parliamentary aspirant. We don�t have an independent candidate in the NDC", Gen. Mosquito said.
