Do For Akufo-Addo What You Did For Me; Kufuor Appeals

Former President John Agyekum Kufour has admonished the people of the Central Region to demonstrate faith in Nana Akufo-Addo, the NPP Presidential candidate, as they had in him. He said having voted a son of the land - the late Prof. John Atta Mills in the 2008 elections - it was time to return the NPP to power to continue with the path of progress it charted under his presidency. Mr. Kufour, who obtained 60% (run-off) and 59% of votes in the 2000 and 2004 elections respectively, told residents of the wing region Sunday that it was time the pendulum swung towards the New Patriotic Party. The Central Region has become known as an electoral swing region whose voters are not die-hard-loyalists of either of the two leading political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) or the NPP. The former President was addressing a large crowd of supporters at the partys regional rally at Mankessim. He told the electorate to vote massively for the NPP if they wanted economic transformation, free senior high school education and quality health care.
