�It Was Signed By GIPC Official & Not Forged By The New Crusading GUIDE! Legitimate concerns have been raised about the credibility of the story titled: �VOLUNTEERS FOR MAHAMA �SWIM� IN STATE CASH �As GIPC Doles Out Thousands For Campaign� published in yesterday�s (November 26, 2012) edition of The New Crusading GUIDE. While some of our well-meaning readers have noted the absence of a signatory to the 15 November, 2012 Ecobank cheque issued by the GIPC in favour of the �Volunteers For Mahama� Movement, others, mainly critics of the publication under reference, have accused this paper of putting out a fabricated or forged cheque, simply because the published cheque carried no signature. In view of the attacks heaped on The New Crusading GUIDE for that �omission� which was due to a deliberate exercise of editorial discretion, and to re-assure our numerous readers and the general public of our commitment to ethical journalism and truthful reportage, we have opted to republish the said cheque, this time round, with the signature which accompanied it, for the perusal of our readers and the general public. We sincerely apologise to all those whose faith in our integrity and credibility as a media establishment, might have been shaken by that singular omission of not publishing the full text of GIPC-issued Ecobank Cheque in favour of the �Volunteers For Mahama� Movement. Apparently, our exercise of editorial discretion in this instance, was wrong, hence the legitimate, critical concerns which have ensued in the wake of the publication. Republished on the frontpage of today�s edition of The New Crusading GUIDE, is the GIPC Ecobank cheque with all its �material particulars�, especially the �missing signature�!
