I've No Doubt Ghanaians Will Endorse The NPP's Policies On Dec 7th Regent Of Tolon

The Gbang Lana, Abubakar Sulemana, Regent of Tolon has declared his unwavering believe that come December 7th, the people of Ghana would endorse the policy proposals of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and elect Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as President and Vice-President respectively. The Regent made the pronouncement during a durbar of the chiefs and people of Tolon organized during a tour of the Tolon constituency by NPP Vice-Presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Responding to an address by Dr. Bawumia who sought the blessings of the regent and the people of tolon for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP Parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Wahab Suhiyini Wumbei, the Gbang Lana said monitoring everything that is going on, I have no doubt that you would be Vice-president after this elections because it is obvious that the policies and proposals of the NPP have gained the acceptance of the Ghanaian people and would be endorsed on December 7th. For now, I would ask you that when elected, I would count on you to help us develop Tolon and for Tolon to receive its rightful share of the national cake. The Gbang Lana recalled the instrumental role of his father, the late Tolon Naa Yakubu Tali as a founding member of the Northern Peoples Party (NPP) which eventually metamorphosed into the United Party (UP) and now New Patriotic Party (NPP). Gbang Lana Abubakar Sulemana also recalled the strong friendship that existed between his father, Tolon Naa Yakubu Tali and Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia, father of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. I recall that the friendship between my father and yours was so strong that two decided to even build in the same neighbourhood and as next door neighbours. I am glad that based on that, the two of us can build a new and stronger relationship with you as Vice-President and myself as regent to develop Tolon and Northern Ghana generally, he said. The NPP Vice-Presidential candidate in addressing the thousands gathered, thanked the Regent and people of Tolon for the warm welcome and said that the NPP had very workable and inclusive policies that would benefit large sections of the population and lead to significant improvements in the lives of people. He noted that the NPP had a credible track record of introducing various social interventions like the National Health Insurance programme, School Feeding Programme, Capitation Grant, Free Maternal Care, Metro Mass Transit, LEAP, etc. even at a time Ghanas economy had been declared HIPC and said that with such competence and vision, the Nana Akufo-Addo administration would not find it difficult introducing more ambitious programmes to transform the economy and meet the aspirations of the Ghanaian people. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on the same Sunday also toured the Kumbungu constituency and visited the University of Development Studies (UDS), Nyankpala Campus.
