I am Ready To Serve - Spio Garbrah

Dr Ekwow Spio Garbrah, a former National Vice Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said he is ready to serve under the Mahama-Arthur administration in any capacity offered him. I believe all Ghanaians are focused enough to be able to help in the various ways of his [Mahama] strides. Whether in government or outside government I will do so in my current capacity and other capacities that I have had in the past, he stated. The former CEO of the Commonwealth Telecommunications organization based in London further disclosed the NDC has a pool of qualified people who are also willing to take up appointments and help in the effectiveness of the ruling government. If you happen to be offered a position in government that you can perform well, I think that is welcome as there are many ways of contributing to national development. The NDC has a very deep resource pool of very qualified and talented people many of whom have been in government and are very willing and able to assist this president to be very effective in his job, he said. My hope and presumption is that all Ghanaians of goodwill especially those who are very patriotic and nationalistic would generally be interested in anything they can do to help promote their countrys development, Mr. Garbrah added. Earlier on Tuesday, President Mahama released his first batch of political appointees after he assumed office as President of Ghana. Dr. Sulley Gariba becomes the Senior Policy Coordinator in the office of the President while Dr. Raymond Atuguba will be the Executive Secretary to the President. The president has also directed all Regional Ministers appointed in the last NDC government to remain in caretaker positions.
